For those of you who have served in any armed forces, or know of someone who did, or know the family of those who have died, thank you for your service and sacrifice that you have made. You are all in our prayers and thoughts today and always.
There is a wonderful website, “Honor the Fallen” https://thefallen.militarytimes.com/ where you can access U.S. Military Service Men and Women who have died and find out more about them. Select one of the names, read about them and keep them and their family in your prayers this weekend. If you want to go the extra mile, write the family a short note acknowledging their loss and letting them know that you are praying for them. Even if you cannot find a direct mailing address, if you can locate the city or town where the funeral occurred, simple send your letter to the Chief of Police of that town – explaining what your letter is and out of respect for the family’s privacy, asking them to deliver it for you.
